BI Participações e Investimentos (BIPI) is a holding that owns Renewable Energy
Projects in Brazil. The shareholders of BIPI are the Imprese e Sviluppo Group
(70%, through the Brazilian subsidiary Yellow Green Real Estate Imobiliaria Ltda)
and Lucio Bomfim (30%), a Brazilian engineer.
BIPI has a special focus on offshore wind farm development in Brazil, but it has
onshore wind farm and photovoltaic plants also.
BIPI has Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for each project. The current project is
distributed in northeast coast of Brazil, 3 of them are in the state of Ceará
(Offshore Wind Farm Caucaia, Offshore Wind Farm Camocim, Hybrid Onshore Wind and
Photovoltaic Farm Boqueirão) and one in the state of Rio Grande do Norte
(Offshore Wind Farm Pedra Grande).
The following map shows the location and the current project power.
Despite of this projects, BIPI is developing other offshore projects in Brazil
in Maranhão, in Piauí, etc. These projects are in a less developed stage (we are
evaluating the minimum preconditions to start a project), not already initiated
the environmental licensing process.
In addition, BIPI has a partnership in a Project for producing hydrogen and
ammonia. This project is called Cactus.
