Focus: Distributed Generation

Friendly Power Srl (www.friendlypower.it) is the Group company that carries out activities for distributed generation, using Renewable Energy Sources (wind, photovoltaic, biomass, liquid and solid; mini-hydro) and energy efficiency . It has developed specific operational, economic and financial models for the development, construction and functioning of Renewable Energy Communities.

Innesco SPA (www.innesco.it) is the Group company that carries out activities in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sector with a social and ethical approach.

Creta Energie Speciali Srl (www.cretaes.it) is the Group company specializing in research and development in the electricity sector. It is an academic spin off of the University of Calabria. It has designed and manufactured products and services enabling the functioning of energy communities, such as a smart meter, a nanogrid, a LED lamp for public lighting with storage capable of operating off grid and on grid.

Technoenergy Srl is the Group company specialized in the design, construction and maintenance of plants powered by RES. It carries out EPC and General Contractor activities in the case of small and medium-sized plants.

THE ADDED VALUE OF THE I&S GROUP

• Model for the promotion and realization of energy communities in BASIC SETUP
• Financial model also shared with Banca Etica, which provides for the participation of a CROWDFUNDING
• Technical and managerial skills and direct availability of application software for the design, implementation and management of CERs
• Availability through companies of the Group of products (smart meters; nanogrid) and services (power cloud) enabling for CERs
• Multi-year skills for technical - legal due diligence on RES plants and related infrastructures to be acquired and their subsequent management
• Multi-year skills for the design, authorization, construction and management of RES plants and related infrastructures to be built 

 

The Renewable Energy Communities will be built, in << BASIC STRUCTURE >> by COMMUNITY POWER NETWORK (CPN), 100% owned by the I&S Group, which: 

•  implement in the Regions of Southern Italy the operating model as SPV INVESTMENT,
• will broaden the use of the model through the promotion of other INVESTMENT SPVs in the other Central and Northern Regions,
• will sign an Agreement with each of the Territorial INVESTMENT SPVs,
• will participate in the establishment of each of the Territorial INVESTMENT SPVs, subscribing and paying up 30% of the minimum initial capital,
• it will bring brand, pre-existing commercial partnership agreements, know-how and operating model. 

 

The enabling PRODUCTS for Energy Communities have been designed and manufactured by Creta Energie Speciali (www.cretaes.it), which is a spin off of the University of Calabria. The partners are three professors (35%, Daniele Menniti, Anna Pinnarelli, Nicola Sorrentino), and Imprese e Sviluppo Srl (65%). 


The SMART METER allows us to know in detail the consumption of the home, encouraging a Rational Use of Energy, on the one hand, and providing data and information for planning consumption, on the other hand.


NANOGRID is capable of integrating the various self-production systems, storage and consumption systems with the local electricity grid. Furthermore, the NANOGRID is capable of interacting with other NANOGRIDs, physically connected (local electricity grid) and / or virtually, using the Power Cloud services, through the national electricity grid). .


To meet the thermal needs of homes and to integrate / replace the electricity production of photovoltaic panels, we have thought of a MICRO-COGENERATION SYSTEM, consisting of a stove powered by pellets produced from solid biomass with a very short supply chain (only that of the territory) and stirling engine, controlled and managed by a software (START STIRLING SYSTEM) patented by the University of Calabria and used in Creta Energie Speciali.   


CRETA Energie Speciali Srl has created two versions of the LED lamp with a storage system:

• the first works in the network and is powered by photovoltaic panels (the other RES) placed far from the lamp,
• the second works off-grid and is powered by an adjustable photovoltaic panel connected to the lamp itself

In the on grid version, the lamps communicate, via picogrid, with the RES plant built in other locations and also equipped with nanogrids, to charge the battery when there is energy to “share” and discharge it at night, powering the LEDs .
This configuration allows important economic savings in the electricity bills of the Municipalities, as the pico-grid and the battery allow to use, accumulating it during the production hours, the energy produced by the RES plants, the cost of which is lower than the current one and has the characteristic of being constant over time (it no longer increases!).
